This is a short video in which CEO Fuad Abri explains the business concept of Ruaha Farm.

This video explains the Ruaha Farm business concept in detail. It also provides evidence why Ruaha Farm is a community-based project and why Fuad Abri is a social entrepreneur. We highly recommend to watch it in combination with video #1.

This video is very informative when students want to know the value chain and business model of the beekeeping business. The video is from a Kenyan based company, but it can be used to teach people about African bees, keeping in mind that beekeeping in Kenya is more advanced and more mechanized. Students will understand how Abri should invest in the business if he wants to upscale the activity, improve quality and hygiene, and improve occupancy rates. The video provides some evidence to answer the assignment questions 2, 3, and 4.

This video is important when students want to understand the strategies and tactics to manage the channels in both local and international markets. Abri should change some strategies so as to export honey. Ruaha Farm should clearly define his competitive advantage and core competences. The video can be used to answer assignment question 3.

This is a video of almost an hour explaining in detail that should be done to become a successful beekeeper, including the production of honey and wax. We advise that students watch this movie to improve their background knowledge about beekeeping in Africa.

This video is about Ruaha Farm. Fuad Abri is briefly describing the inclusion of society in the beekeeping activity, products and benefits from the beekeeping and introducing “new product” apart from traditional products which are honey and beewax. The video can be used in the introduction section so that students can understand both Ruaha Farm and the beekeeping business. After viewing this video, students will understand Ruaha Farm and beekeeping in Iringa, and how the business model can be socially incltegrated.

This video is about Kitelewas beekeeping and research center in Iringa (Tanzania). The video is set to show how beekeeping can be friendly to the environment, how to improve productivity and the importance of using commercial hives to improve productivity. This video can be shown to students to show how beekeeping can be integrated to environmental conservation, including other actors in the beekeeping ecosystem (inclusion of different actors), and how to improve productivity.
